On farm research into nitrogen optimization continues

The Wisconsin Legislature funded a nitrogen optimization pilot program, helping farmers learn what their farms use and how farmers could potentially save on fertilizer costs while at the same time protecting water quality.  Matt Ruark with the University of Wisconsin leads the consulting team helping farmers with their trials.
