NPPC priorities satisfied in House farm bill proposal

The National Pork Producers Council applauds the House Ag Committee’s farm bill proposal.

NPPC assistance vice president of domestic policy Chase Adams says from a pork industry perspective, Chair GT Thompson was able to address every priority.

“100 percent of the things that we were asking for in this farm bill are in there. The three-legged stool of animal health, that’s surveillance, control, and the FMD vaccine bank, fully funded at the levels that we identified the need for.”

He tells Brownfield the House farm bill also provides a congressional fix for Proposition 12.
