More rain delays fieldwork in Missouri

Above normal precipitation in Missouri over the last week added to improvements in soil moisture and continued to delay some fieldwork.

USDA says most of the state’s corn is planted and emerged with conditions rated 69% good to excellent. Missouri’s soybean planting is 79% complete with the crop emerging and conditions rated 64% good to excellent.

Cotton squaring is 8% complete, ahead of average with conditions 86% good to excellent. Rice is emerging with the crop rated 76% good to excellent.
