MOFB: new electric corridors a private property rights concern

The Missouri Farm Bureau President says he’s concerned what the U.S. Department of Energy’s newly proposed electric corridors might mean for private property rights.

Garrett Hawkins says the national interest electric transmission corridors are an attempt at a federal land grab to expedite transmission lines.

“As you talk about fast tracking state authority to fast track these projects, ultimately, that means less intervention and more ability to allow private entities and others to use eminent domain for these kinds of mega projects.
