Minnesota farmer wraps up “good” planting season

A west-central Minnesota farmer recently finished planting.

Chad Willis of Willmar says there was a short window to plant his corn the end of April.

“Then we had about two weeks of rain. This last week it dried off enough to work on soybeans, so that’s been good.”

He tells Brownfield the corn is emerging.

“This rain we had yesterday I’m sure will help soften up the ground.
