Michigan wheat ahead of average

Warm and wet weather was helpful to Michigan’s wheat crop last week. The USDA says winter wheat is 96 percent emerged with condition rated 74 percent good to excellent. Michigan’s corn crop is 95 percent harvested while sugarbeets are at 98 percent.
