Lower weekly finish for soybeans, corn, wheat

Soybeans were modestly lower on fund and technical selling, adding to what would have already been a lower finish for the week. Friday’s forecasts did have more planting delaying rain in parts of the Midwest, but that planting pace was expected to stay ahead of the five-year average in Monday’s weekly numbers. Old crop soybean export sales were 12.1 million bushels, mainly to unknown destinations and China, while new crop sales were a scant 300,000 bushels to either Indonesia or Taiwan.
