An Illinois beef producer says despite higher prices consumers are still purchasing high quality beef.
Joan Harrison, who raises cattle in Tazewell County and serves on the Illinois Beef Association (IBA) Board of Governors, tells Brownfield…
“I think a four ounce portion of beef, yes, it may be a little more expensive, but that’s a quality four ounces.” She says, “I think the public realizes that. So they’re willing to pay for a good product.”
She says diversification of their operation has helped them be successful.
