High-path avian flu detected in central Iowa commercial turkey flock

Highly pathogenic avian influenza has been detected in central Iowa. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship says the case involves a commercial turkey flock in Hamilton County. It’s the state’s ninth detection of HPAI within domestic birds in 2025.
