U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says while he applauds the House Ag Committee for including a fix for Proposition 12 in its farm bill text, there’s been no movement in the Senate.
“We haven’t had a discussion, what we call markup, of a chairman’s mark in the Agriculture Committee and (Prop 12) would have to come up at that point.”
The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield the House proposal highlights the importance and “ridiculousness” of the California rule.
