U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says movement on the Senate’s version of the farm bill isn’t likely to happen this month.
“We’ve got a couple of no-vote Mondays,” he said. “We’ve got a Juneteenth day off, and then we have the last week of June off. So I don’t think there’s enough days even if there’s an agreement made today.”
During a press call with farm reporters, the Iowa Republican said he has some optimism that momentum will pick up later this summer.
