From spring planting in Iowa to wheat harvest in Texas, a busy week for Iowa custom harvester

A north-central Iowa farmer says it’s been a mad dash to get his crops planted this spring.

Paul Paplow of Ocheyedan says he started about 3 weeks ago. “Realistically, we should be able to do everything in about a week, but we’ve been having a lot of rain delays,” he says.  “Right now in my area, people are probably 70% done, but there’s still quite a bit left to go. There’s a lot of ground that’s just way too wet still to get in.
