An Illinois farmer who just finished planting is already worrying about next year’s growing season.
Jason Birkenbeil, who farms in Livingston County, tells Brownfield he’s uneasy about the uncertain future of dicamba.
“It’s concerning.” He says, “Next year what we’re going to be able to use far as chemical wise, we do like to use dicamba, but that time is limited.”
Earlier this year a federal court vacated the 2020 registrations of three over the top dicamba products.
