Expanding biomanufacturing in the U.S.

The head of the Corn Refiners Association says it’s important that Congress includes provisions in the farm bill to expand biomanufacturing in the U.S. 

John Bode tells Brownfield biomanufacturing goes beyond biofuels. It also includes bio-based plastics, fabrics, packaging, chemicals and lubricants; and investing in biomanufacturing keeps the U.S. competitive on the global market. “Even though America has the most efficient farmers in the world, which give us a tremendous advantage,” he says.
