Direct cash cattle trade ends week with scattered business

Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle futures were mixed, waiting for the rest of the week’s direct business, and feeders were supported by the lower move in corn. August live was down $.30 at $177.17 and October was up $.02 at $179.67. August feeders were $2.07 higher at $254.92 and September was up $1.75 at $255.85.

Cash cattle country had a few scattered deals reported in Nebraska at $301, fully steady with weighted averages from the previous week.
