CME cash dairy, milk futures lower Tuesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were lower except for cheese barrels Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.3850.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.05 at $1.93.  Fourteen sales were recorded, ranging from $1.93 to #2.00. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.0875 at $2.06.  One sale was recorded at that price. 

Butter was down $0.0325 at $2.9950.  Seventeen sales were recorded, ranging from $2.9950 to $3.0075. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.1650.  Twenty-six sales were recorded, ranging from $1.16 to $1.1650. 

Class III milk futures were all lower Tuesday. 

June Class III milk was down $0.49 at $20.77.  July was down $0.29 at $19.92.  August was down $0.25 at $19.49.
