Cattle futures higher following a sluggish start to the week

Butter higher, cheese lower Thursday

Cash dairy prices were mixed on Thursday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.     Dry whey was unchanged at $0.69.  No sales were recorded.  Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.01 at $1.4875.  Two sales were recorded at $1.4850 and $1.4875.  Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.44.  No sales were recorded.
