Butter steady, whey and cheese higher Tuesday

Cash dairy prices were steady to higher on Tuesday except for powder at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.    After a long period of unchanged prices, dry whey was up $0.02 at $0.74.  No sales were recorded.  Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0625 at $1.45.  Six sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4150 to $1.45.  Cheese barrels were up $0.01 after holding steady for a long time, closing at $1.45.  One sale was recorded at that price.  Butter prices were unchanged at $1.7050.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.6950 to […]
