Appeals court justifies MO Soybean lawsuit

The Missouri Court of Appeals has ruled the Missouri Soybeans Association and Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council was justified in filing a lawsuit against a former executive director.

A lawsuit filed in 2015 against Dale Ludwig alleged fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and other claims. The lawsuit also revealed Ludwig had improperly signed away Missouri Soybeans’ intellectual property rights in next generation soybean seed technology to AgBorn Gentics. Missouri Soybeans also won a different lawsuit AgBorn Genetics that terminated the improper agreements.
