A wide-range of temperatures ahead across the Heartland; a dry pattern to continue

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures throughout the western and central U.S., while cooler-than-normal conditions will cover the East.  Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation across most of the U.S. should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather in parts of Maine, Florida’s peninsula, and the Pacific Northwest.
