Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation virtually nationwide. Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to parts of the Pacific Northwest. Meanwhile, an area stretching from the southern Rockies to the central Gulf Coast will have the greatest chance of experiencing wetter-than-normal weather.

Cash dairy prices mostly lower Friday

Cash dairy prices were mostly lower except for butter on Friday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.     Dry whey was unchanged at $0.67.  Two sales were recorded at $0.67 and $0.6725.  Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0075 at $1.4725.  Three sales were recorded,
