A mild to unseasonably warm, progressively wetter pattern shift ahead for the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across much of the country. Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to the Northeast. Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to parts of the eastern U.S., from northern Florida into southern New England.
