Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation nearly nationwide. Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to California, the Pacific Northwest, and the western Great Basin. Meanwhile drier-than-normal conditions should be limited to the lower Rio Grande Valley.
