A northeast Nebraska farmer says the wet spring drastically improved soil conditions on his farm.
But Greg Anderson says he’s cautious about this year’s crop despite the improvement in drought conditions. “The rains for the month of July will help determine corn yields,” Anderson said. “The August rains will be very instrumental in making a good soybean yield.”
Nebraska Extension Meteorologist Greg Hunt says the increase in moisture has been a drought buster.
