Corn and soybean planting continues to progress ahead of the average pace in Kansas.
USDA says as of Sunday 92% of the state’s expected corn crop has been planted with 79% of the crop emerged.
Soybeans are 68% planted with 46% of the crop emerged.
Sunflowers are 21% planted, behind the average pace of 25%.
The state’s winter wheat crop is 97% headed with 34% of the crop in good to excellent condition.
