A joint ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating Sioux Center’s and Hull’s connection to the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System earlier this month, will be held in Sioux Center Tuesday morning starting at 11 o’clock. The ceremony will take place at Lewis & Clark’s newly constructed meter building in Sioux Center located at 803 9th Street SE.
The 30 to 40-minute program will highlight dignitaries including Congressman Randy Feenstra and Bureau of Reclamation Regional Director Brent Esplin. In addition to celebrating the connection for Sioux Center and Hull, the Sioux Center meter building will be dedicated in honor of Chairman Murray Hulstein. Hulstein is Sioux Center’s Utilities Manager and has been involved with Lewis & Clark in various roles since the project was incorporated in January 1990.
