Kulesza named AVCA All-America Honorable Mention

The 2023 American Volleyball Coaches Association has announced its 2023 NAIA national honors and Dordt’s Caleb Kulesza (Senior; Chicago, Illinois) has been named to the NAIA All-American Honorable Mention list.

Kulesza was a first-team All-GPAC performer while helping the Defenders to a program best 16-4 season record to go with an 8-2 GPAC record and first-ever berth in the GPAC Championship match. He averaged a team best 3.83 kills per set with a .264 kill efficiency and he got to 1.64 digs per outing. He ends his career with 871 kills and 458 digs and he’s the program career leader in both of those categories. Kulesza is a three-time All-GPAC First-Team selection.

“This honor for Caleb is tremendous. The national coaches have seen his ability and impact on the court and have voted accordingly. He ranks 12th in the country in scoring points per set based on his combined kills, blocks, and aces. While Caleb competed whole-heartedly each time he was on the court, he also lived out The Defender Way in all areas of his life. We are so pleased for him to receive this honor and represent our program on the All-American list,” said Dordt volleyball coach Chad Hanson.

Kulesza will graduate in May 2023 with a degree in engineering.
