Sheldon Murder Victim Identified as Mother of Suspect

Authorities have identified the woman killed Thursday at her Sheldon residence as 62-year-old Jody Lynn Duskin. Duskin was found dead insider her home by a family member Thursday night. An autopsy on Duskin’s body confirms her death is the result of a homicide. Duskin is the mother of Nathaniel Kassel, the person currently charged with her murder. He is in custody at the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota. Kassel will be returned to Iowa after a judge approves the extradition.
