Dordt up to 5th, Northwestern number 16 in latest NAIA Womens Basketball rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the second regular season NAIA women’s basketball poll of the regular season, the Northwestern College women’s basketball team (8-0, 3-0 GPAC) slid up nine spots and now holds the No. 16-ranking in the NAIA.

The Red Raiders are ranked inside the top-20 for the first time since the final regular season poll of 2021-22, when NWC was also ranked No. 16. Last season, Northwestern was ranked in all six of the regular season poll, ranked as high as No. 12 (Poll No. 2, Dec. 1, 2021).

Four GPAC teams are ranked in the last top 25, led by Dordt, which climbed to Number 5, Dakota Wesleyn is 11th, followed by Northwestern at number 16, and Morningside is 25th. Briar Cliff is receiving votes.
