The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred Tuesday on Hickory Avenue, three miles south of Hull. 

During the investigation, authorities found that a vehicle was being driven northbound on Hickory when the driver lost control, entered the west ditch and struck a steel livestock fence; the vehicle left the scene and the accident was not reported.

The vehicle involved likely has damage to its passenger side and rear. The fence sustained approximately $500 in damage.
