Northwestern womens basketball moves up one spot, to 13th in NAIA

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northwestern College women's basketball team (19-3, 11-3 GPAC) moved up one spot to 13th in this edition of the 2022 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Coaches' Poll, after posting an impressive 4-0 record since the last poll.

The Raiders have an 11-3 record in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) play, owning a six-game win streak and having won eight of their last nine games.

The Raiders have claimed six wins against top-25 opponents this season, the most recent against the then No. 19-ranked Concordia (Neb.) Bulldogs. Other wins against ranked opponents includes a win over Marian (Ind.) who is currently ranked No. 6.

The GPAC has five teams in the current coaches' poll, including three of those in the top 25. The highest ranked conference opponent is Morningside coming in at No. 8. Northwestern is the only conference opponent to hand Morningside a conference loss, they matchup again tonight, Jan. 26, at 6 p.m.
