Siouxnami Water Park Breaks Attendance Record
November 24, 2021 2:20pm
Sioux Center’s destination for summer fun broke records across the board in 2021.
The Siouxnami Waterpark at the All Seasons Center saw a record breaking year for attendance, memberships, and rentals this summer. Total attendance from June to Labor Day 2021 increased from 57,237 in 2020 to 63,850 in 2021.
“We busted our daily attendance record on Monday, July 5, and that was only from noon until 6 p.m., when we shut down due to a thunderstorm,” All Seasons Center Director Dave Egdorf said. Attendance that day was 1,843 people.
Summer membership sales grew by 67% to a total of $85,670. Annual membership sales also grew by $10,000 to $29,571. General admissions also increased for the summer. Private pool rentals increased from 11 in 2020 to 19 in 2021.
“They’re already starting to book for next summer. We had another call about it today,” Egdorf said.
He also highlighted an increase in lifeguard training, led by Jill Miller, at the All Seasons Center, and a $20,000 increase in concession sales, coordinated by ASC staff member Sam Rens.
Most admission and membership rates will remain the same in 2022. A new rate will be offered for non-swimmers: $3. A few increases are planned: adult admission will increase by $1 to $8. All summer membership rates will see a $10 increase from last year. Hourly outdoor pool rental will increase slightly to $300 an hour for outdoor, $400 an hour for both indoor and outdoor.
Egdorf said the All Seasons Center continues to promote its financial assistance program, which gives residents a percentage discount on All Seasons Center membership on a sliding scale based on income. More information is available by contacting Mid-Sioux Opportunity at (712)-722-3611.
