Raiders to Play College of Saint Mary and Eastern Oregon in Pool Play

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the pool play schedule and placements this afternoon Sunday, November 21. The No. 21-ranked Northwestern College volleyball team (18-10, 9-7 GPAC) will take on the No. 5-ranked College of Saint Mary (26-5, 13-3) and the No. 12-ranked Eastern Oregon (26-7, 19-3 CCC) in Pool F play on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

The Raiders received the No. 3-seed of the pool and has been placed in Pool F. Northwestern is one of sixteen teams to be undefeated in opening round play, as they led the field with their stellar .382 hitting percentage (41 kills, seven errors, 89 attempts) against the IU Kokomo Cougars yesterday.

The tentative schedule will see Northwestern take on GPAC-foe the Flames from the College of Saint Mary for the second time this season at 10:30 a.m. Then, at 5:00 p.m., to square off with Eastern Oregon University. POOL F Teams

No. 1-seed College of Saint Mary (26-5, 13-3 GPAC)

No. 2-seed Eastern Oregon (26-7, 19-3 CCC)

No. 3-seed Northwestern College (18-10, 9-7 GPAC)

Dordt has been assigned to pool C, with Missouri Baptist, and Central Methodist.

The NAIA split the 24 teams that advanced to Sioux City, Iowa into eight three-team pools. The top team in each pool will advance to the elimination bracket on December 2, the semifinals will be played on December 3 and the national champion will be crowned December 4.
