Orange City, Iowa — Cole Rutter (Fostoria, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern College.

Rutter wrestled for four years at Spencer High School for the varsity squad and is a two-time team captain. In his most recent season Rutter had a record of 33-12 and an overall record of 69-30.

"We are excited to get Cole on board," said head coach Rik Dahl. "We have had the pleasure of working with him through our Raider Wrestling Club the past five years and it has been a joy to watch him develop. He has a tenacious work ethic and loves the sport of wrestling. We believe he will come in and make an impact right away after he finishes up basic training next fall."

Rutter plans to study Business at Northwestern and is an honor roll student. He is the son of Cara and Aaron.

“I chose Northwestern because there is a very good atmosphere and great coaches.”
