Information Sought in Hit-And-Run Accident

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent hit-and-run accident that occurred on Highway 75, two miles north of Sioux Center, late Wednesday morning.
28-year-old Lauren Kleyer of Sioux Center, was driving southbound on Highway 75, when, according to Kleyer, an unknown vehicle entered her lane; she swerved into the west ditch to avoid striking the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
The unknown vehicle was described by witnesses as a black Jeep Liberty with running lights on the roof that were illuminated at the time of the incident. Kleyer’s Chevrolet Equinox sustained about $2,500 damage.
