A Sioux Center man who was arrested last weekend for 5th degree criminal mischief in a case where he fired bb’s at a vehicle near Sheldon, has been arrested again today. 24-year-old Jacob Albert of Sioux Center is now charged for Obstruction of Emergency Communication and Domestic Assault.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Albert shortly after midnight Tuesday morning after authorities received a report of a disturbance at a residence northeast of Sioux Center.
While investigating, deputies discovered that Albert had assaulted a victim and prohibited them from calling 911 to report the assault.
Albert was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with domestic assault and obstructing emergency communications.
Albert posted a signature bond of $1,000 and was released. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department.
It is unclear if the two incidents are related.
