Semi vs Truck Accident Near Hinton Blocks Parts of Highway 75

An accident south of Hinton Monday morning blocked a portion of Highway 75.
The accident occurred about 10:20am near the intersection of Harness and Hwy 75.
The Plymouth County Sheriff Office says a pickup pulling a dump trailer full of concrete was traveling southbound on Hwy 75 and lost control. The pickup entered the northbound lane and collided with a semi-tractor trailer loaded with dry concrete mix.
The driver of the pickup and the driver of the semi-tractor were transported to MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. The driver of the semi-tractor sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the pickup's injuries are unknown at this time.
The names of both involved are not being released at this time.
By 5:30 p.m. traffic was flowing, the northbound lanes reopened shortly after 7pm Monday night.
