No Injuries in Three-Vehicle Accident East of Boyden

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 18 and Kingbird Avenue, one mile east of Boyden, Monday afternoon.
72 year-old Ardis Grein of Sheldon was travelling westbound on highway 18 in a minivan, she stopped for oncoming traffic before attempting to turn left onto Kingbird Ave. 18 year-old Mckenna Huss of Sioux Center was stopped behind Grein in a Mazda Tribute. 16 year-old Rebecca Fluit of Fairview, SD was also westbound on Highway 18, driving a Ford Edge, when she struck the Fluit vehicle which then struck the Grein vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Grein’s Chrysler minivan sustained approximately $8,000 in damage. The Mazda sustained an estimated $6,000 in damage. The Ford sustained approximately $10,000 in damage.
Fluit was cited for following too close.
