"The 39 Steps" - Sioux Center Arts' 2020 Summer Production Will Go On
July 22, 2020 2:01pm
Sioux Center Arts is excited to present the summer 2020 production of "The 39 Steps."
Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have “The 39 Steps.” This farcical, fast-paced whodunit is packed with train chases, handcuffs, missing fingers, some good old-fashioned romance, and dozens of zany characters, all played by a cast of four, showcasing local talent.
Richard Hannay is a London man with an ordinary life, until the day he meets a mysterious woman with a dangerous secret. Hannay soon finds himself on the run for his life in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale. With a great blend of comedy, thriller, mystery, and romance, "The 39 Steps" is a story for all ages.
Performances will be held at Te Paske Theater at Sioux Center High School on Aug. 27, 28 & 29 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 students and children, and they can be purchased online at siouxcenterarts.ticketleap.com/39steps, at the City Office, or by calling 712-722-0761.
When purchasing tickets online and selecting seats, please leave one empty seat between your group and already-purchased seats.
This show is a uniquely collaborative theatrical endeavor, co-directed and acted by a cast of four – David Janssen, Brandon Miller, Jonathan Foster, and Kate Henreckson, Sioux Center Arts director.
“The 39 Steps is a show you don’t want to miss,” said Henreckson.
