Kraft To Compete For Red Raider Track and Field

Emily Kraft (Kingsley, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College this fall.

2020-21 Emily Kraft T/Field RecruitKraft competed three years in both shot put and discus for Kingsley-Pierson High School. A state qualifier in both events, Kraft placed seventh in the shot put as a sophomore and eighth as a junior (2019). She also placed among the top 15 at the 2019 Drake Relays. Kraft won the Western Valley Conference title in the shot put in 2018 and 2019 and was the conference champion in discus in 2019.

"We are pumped to have Emily compete for our women's track field team this fall," commented Northwestern Head Coach Scott Bahrke. "Emily is a very talented thrower who will learn a lot from the veteran women on our throws crew. She is also a wonderful teammate with a servant heart. We look forward to see how God uses Emily during her time at Northwestern."

An honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society, Kraft plans to study Nursing or Education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Mike and Deb.
