Bomgaars to play Volleyball, run Track, at Northwestern

Karli Bomgaars (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball and track and field careers at Northwestern College.

Bomgaars is a 6'0" middle hitter who played two years for MOC-Floyd Valley High School. Bomgaars received second team all-conference honors after leading the Dutch with 85 blocks and a 23% kill efficiency. She put down 205 kills, second most on the team, and helped lead the Dutch to a 26-9 overall record.

"Karli is a great fit for our volleyball program," said Northwestern Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. "She is a hard worker and an outstanding teammate who can attack both as a middle and on the right side. We are excited to welcome Karli to Northwestern College and our volleyball team."

A two-year letter winner for the MOC-Floyd Valley track and field team, Bomgaars has personal bests of 18 in the 100m hurdles and 1:10 in the 400m. Bomgaars plans to study Elementary / Special Education at Northwestern and is the daughter of Joe and Angye.
