Test Iowa Site Coming to Sioux County
May 22, 2020 10:23am
Sioux County is getting a Test Iowa site. The Sioux Center Middle School will be the newest Test Iowa Site in Iowa. According to coronavirus.iowa.gov, the Test Iowa site at Sioux Center Middle School will conduct testing from noon-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 27-28.
The Test Iowa Site at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Woodbury County is ending operations today as cases there have reduced dramatically. Sioux County has seen a steady increase in confirmed coronavirus cases increasing by nearly 150 in the last two weeks.
Gov. Kim Reynolds office previously attributed to the uptick in Sioux County to surveillance testing, which is essentially targeted testing at sites where there are confirmed cases and likely exposures have increased.
During her press conference Thursday, Reynolds announced that any Iowan who wants a coronavirus test is eligible for one, and there is no cost to take the test. Go to testiowa.com to take the assessment to be given an appointment.
Call Test Iowa at 515-575-2131 or 1-844-844-1561 for more information on testing. Phone lines are open daily 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
