Schools Offering Free Lunches While Closed

Many public school districts have now implemented a meal program while they remained closed due to COVID-19. Free meals are being distributed to children 0-18 and in many cases, the meals are available toprivate school students as well and are not limited to low income families. The following is a list of how different districts in our area are handling the meal program. Please contact the various district offices if you have questions.
Boyden-Hull Community Schools: Grab and Go Lunches distributed from 11:30am-12:30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday at United Methodist Church in Boyden, St. John's Lutheran Church, Natural Beauty Greenhouse, Chesnut Drive in Hull on NW side of Hesla Field and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.These lunches are available to all student in Boyden and Hull even if they do not attend Boyden-Hull Schools.
George-Little Rock Schools: Free grab and go meals to students 18 yrs and under. Delivering meals will also be an option. Please contact the school in advance to sign up for meals and/or delivery service. Call Colleen Trei at 712-475-3311 ext 127 or email@example.com.
MOC-Floyd Valley Schools: Grab n' Go meals distributed 11:30am-12:30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Orange City Elementary (NW corner), Hospers Elementary (main entrance, MOC-FV Middle School (main entrance, SE corner, MOC-FV High School (north middle entrance by lunchroom), Maurice Community Center and Granville Community Center.
Rock Valley Community Schools: Free sack lunches available to children 0-18regardless of the school they attend but must register through the district Facebook page. Daily pickup points areRock Valley City Park, Faith Church and Rock Valley Methodist Church.
Sioux Center Community Schools: Lunches are available to all children age 18 and younger from 11:30am-12:30pm Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays at Central Reformed Church, Christ The King Catholic Church and Westbrook Village. On Mondays at each site, classroom materials will also be handed out.
West Sioux Community Schools: Take Go meals available to al children 18 and under from 11:00am-12:30pm weekdays at Hawarden Ireton Elementary buildings. The student must be present to pick up a lunch.
