PARKING UPDATES – FOR ALL FANS!

TEAM TRANSPORTATION

▪ Only school vehicles (van/cars/busses) will be allowed into Kennedy Park and Lakeside Golf Course.

▪ All teams should plan to arrive at Kennedy Park at least two hours prior to the start of their race.

▪ Congestion occurs throughout Fort Dodge, especially on Nelson Avenue, County Road D-14.

▪ All passes for school vehicles will be distributed by the IHSAA and IGHSAU prior to the meet.

▪ There will be a drop-off/pick-up zone for teams in front of Heun Shelter, as in the past.

▪ Please tell school vehicle drivers that this zone is in the parking lot, NOT along the park road.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING

▪ Handicap accessible parking will be available at Kennedy Park.

▪ Must provide and display appropriate license or hang tag.

▪ Handicap parking zone will be Lakeside Golf Course’s parking lot by clubhouse.

▪ $10 per vehicle parking charge to be collected on site.

MEDIA PARKING

▪ Media will be allowed to park inside Kennedy Park.

▪ Must display IHSAA/IGHSAU state tournament credentials or have pass authorization.

▪ Parking zone will be any hard surface area – no grass parking allowed.

▪ $10 per vehicle parking charge to be collected on site.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS

▪ Administrator parking is allowed inside Kennedy Park.

▪ Must display IHSAA/IGHSAU Administrator Pass.

▪ Parking zone will be any hard surface area – no grass parking allowed.

▪ $10 per vehicle parking charge to be collected on site.

STATE MEET SPECTATORS

▪ NO PARKING inside Kennedy Park due to wet grounds. MAP WILL BE POSTED ONLINE.

▪ Shuttle services available for all general parking. Shuttle will run from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.

▪ $10 per vehicle charge for parking and transportation.

▪ Plan for 60-90 minutes transportation time from parking lot to Kennedy Park.

▪ Farmer fields are NOT AVAILABLE this year.

▪ Drop-off and Pick-up zone will be within Kennedy Park. Follow directions for entry.

▪ No early set up or tailgating allowed, unless authorized IHSAA/IGHSAU parking pass is used. All team tailgating

supplies, such as food or tents, must be transported by vehicle in possession of IHSAA/IGHSAU pass.

▪ There is no roadside parking. Cars parked on roads around Kennedy Park will be towed.

Enjoy the day supporting your school – please be courteous to the volunteers as they do their

best to provide a fantastic experience for you, your school, fans and student-athletes.

SPECTATOR SHUTTLE SERVICE

▪ Four (4) locations for shuttles will be provided for spectators.

▪ Shuttles will run from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 27.

▪ $10 fee for parking and transportation will be collected upon entry into lots assigned for shuttles.

▪ Shuttles and lots will be color coded. Remember to return on the bus with your color shown.

▪ You may park at any of the four lots and ride any shuttle to arrive at Kennedy Park.

▪ Shuttle recommendations and associated color codes are below:

▪ Harlan Rogers Sports Complex, 1614 Nelson Avenue – RED LOT

▪ Recommended if arriving from north on Nelson Avenue or west on D-14.

▪ Rosedale Rapids, 1111 North 32nd Street – BLUE LOT

▪ Recommended if arriving from south on 32nd Street or east on 190th Street.

▪ Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 North 32nd Street – GREEN LOT

▪ Recommended if arriving from south on 32nd Street or west on 10th Avenue North.

▪ Fort Dodge Senior High School, 801 North 25th Street – BLACK LOT

▪ Recommended if arriving from west via Highway 20.
