A LARCHWOOD MAN WAS INJURED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ROLLOVER ACCIDENT EARLY SATURDAY. THE LYON COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE SAYS THAT 20 YEAR OLD ETHAN SCHEMMEL OF LARCHWOOD WAS NORTHBOUND ON COOLIDGE AVENUE WHEN HE LOST CONTROL AND ENTERED THE WEST DITCH. SCHEMMEL’S VEHICLE ROLLED TWO TO THREE TIMES, AND CAME TO REST IN A FIELD ON ITS ROOF. SCHEMMEL WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE, AND SUSTAINED SERIOUS INJURIES. HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO SANFORD ROCK RAPIDS, AND LATER FLOWN TO SANFORD SIOUX FALLS. ALCOHOL IS SUSPECTED AS BEING A FACTOR IN THE ACCIDENT WHICH REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
