Collision Near Hull Injures Three

BOTH DRIVERS HAD TO BE MECHANICALLY EXTRICATED FROM THEIR VEHICLES FOLLOWING A TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION THURSDAY ON HICKORY AVENUE 1 MILE NORTH OF HULL. AUTHORITIES SAY 50-YEAR-OLD MYRA MODDER OF GEORGE WAS NORTHBOUND AND 25-YEAR-OLD JILLIAN MEYER OF BOYDEN WAS SOUTHBOUND WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL. THE VEHICLE CROSSED INTO THE NORTHBOUND LANE AND COLLIDED WITH THE ONE DRIVEN BY MODDER.
MODDER AND MEYER WERE TRAPPED IN THEIR VEHICLES AND HAD TO BE MECHANICALLY EXTRICATED. BOTH WERE TAKEN TO HEGG MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN ROCK VALLEY, ALONG WITH 53-YEAR-OLD CHRYSTAL MEYER OF BOYDEN, A PASSENGER IN ONE OF THE VEHICLES.
$7,500 IN DAMAGE WAS ESTIMATED TO THE FORD DRIVEN BY MODDER; DAMAGE TO THE GMC DRIVEN BY MEYER WAS ESTIMATED AT $5,000.
THE CRASH, WHICK TOOK PLACE SHORTLY BEFORE 8:30 A.M., REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
