THE SIOUX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS ASKING FOR HELP FROM THE PUBLIC IN ITS INVESTIGATIONS OF TWO RECENT INCIDENTS INVOLVING PELLET GUNS OR B-B GUNS.

ON JULY 27, SIOUX COUNTY DEPUTIES INVESTIGATED A REPORT OF PEOPLE SHOOTING A GUN AT SOME DOGS FROM THEIR VEHICLE NEAR A RESIDENCE ON 440TH STREET, TWO MILES EAST OF HAWARDEN, IOWA. WITNESSES DESCRIBED THE VEHICLE AS A OLDER, WHITE, FOUR-DOOR CAR THAT WAS OCCUPIED BY TWO TEENAGE MALES. THE GUN WAS REPORTEDLY A B-B GUN. THE DOGS WERE NOT INJURED IN THE INCIDENT.

ALSO ON JULY 27, THE SIOUX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WAS CALLED OUT TO A VANDALISM REPORT AT WEST SIDE PARK IN HULL. IT WAS DISCOVERED A WINDOW ON A CAMPER HAD BEEN SHOT WITH A PELLET GUN, OR A BB GUN.

THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS THE INCIDENTS DO NOT APPEAR TO BE RELATED.
