Funding for Building at NCC

NORTHWEST IOWA COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN SHELDON HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED FUNDING FROM M-D-U RESOURCES GROUP THAT WILL SUPPORT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES BUILDING THE N-C-C’s CAMPUS, AND WILL PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. M-D-U HAS MADE A PLEDGE TO DONATE 50-THOUSAND-DOLLARS TO THE NEW APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES BUILDING, AND WILL BE GIVING 3-THOUSAND-DOLLARS A YEAR IN THE FORM OF TWO SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN N-C-C’s HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OR DIESEL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS. M-D-U IS A CONSTRUCTION AND UTILITIES COMPANY BASED OUT OF BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA. THE NEW APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES BUILDING IS CURRENTLY BEING CONSTRUCTED WITH AN ESTIMATED COMPLETION OF FALL 2016.
