A HAWARDEN WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER A SINGE VEHICLE ACCIDENT LAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON ON HIGHWAY 10, ABOUT 2 MILES NORTHWEST OF IRETON. 38 YEAR OLD ALEJANDRA CHAVEZ OF HAWARDEN WAS WESTBOUND ON HIGHWAY 10 WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, ENTERED THE NORTH DITCH AND ROLLED. CHAVEZ WAS TRANSPORTED BY THE IRETON AMBUILANCE TO THE HAWARDEN HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF MINOR INJURIES. CHAVEZ WAS CITED FOR FAILING TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF HER VEHICLE. THE SIOUX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WAS ASSISTED BY THE IRETON FIRE DEPARTMENT, IRETON AMBULANCE, AND IOWA STATE PATROL.

THE SIOUX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATED A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT FRIDAY AFTERNOON ON KENNEDY AVENUE, ABOUT THREE MIELS NORTH OF BOYDEN. 62 YEAR OLD LINDA GROEN OF GEORGE WAS NORTHBOUND ON KENNEDY AVENUE WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, STRUCK A MAILBOX, AND ENTERED THE EAST DITCH. GROEN DID NOT REPORT ANY INJURIES. GROEN WAS CITED FOR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF A MOTORE VEHICLE.
