Red Raider Women's Basketball Recognized for Academics

The Northwestern College women's basketball team has been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 team honor roll for the 2018-19 season as released by the national office Tuesday.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
The 2018-19 Red Raiders, under the direction of Head CoachChris Yaw, finished with a 3.607 GPA, 13th best among NAIA schools. They are one of three teams from the GPAC in the top 25 with Mount Marty 6th and Concordia 20th. Indiana Tech had the top team GPA of 3.817. Northwestern closed the 2018-19 season with a 29-5 record, reaching the national semifinals for the second consecutive and 11th overall time.
